Costs of FAIR compliance and not being FAIR compliant

This is a short note about costs for creating FAIR compliant data accepting that it is hardly possible to estimate costs for not being FAIR compliant. This note grew over time based on a request from people making a survey about costs and comments from colleagues. It is mainly based on own experience.
