EUDAT D7.1 EUDAT/EGI Pilot Activity

This document describes the work undertaken by the EUDAT2020 project to strengthen the interoperability between EUDAT and EGI, and to prepare the ground for establishing a common and persistent collaboration framework for providing crossinfrastructure services. The main objective is to connect data stored in the EUDAT Collaborative Data Infrastructure (CDI) to high throughput and cloud computing resources provided by EGI. The work has started with a generic use case and community pilots, with a view to moving, in 2016, to a production cross-infrastructure service integrating storage resources managed by EUDAT and computing resources available at EGI.
